The Elections Administrator conducts all countywide special and general elections and handles Early Voting for the countywide elections.  The Early Voting Clerk is responsible for appointment and training of all election clerks that assist in the elections and all balloting by mail.  As the Voter Registrar of De Witt County, the Elections Administrator is responsible for registering all eligible voters, providing a list of qualified voters to all other county entities for their elections, and making reports to the Secretary of State.

The Elections Administrator is also responsible for notification and maintenance of candidate/officeholder reports and appointments of campaign treasurer designations for county offices.

  • The purpose of this page is to provide up to date information for upcoming elections in our area, when there is an election this page will be updated with the relevant information you need in order to vote.  This page will be updated with the time, date, and place for each election including a listing of the precinct polling places and sample ballot information.  At the conclusion of an election, the results from the election will also be posted on this page.

     2025 ELECTIONS

    • Tuesday, November 4, 2025 

      • Last Day to Register to Vote is Monday, October 6, 2025
      • Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not Postmarked) is Friday, October 24, 2025
      • Early Voting begins Monday, October 20, 2025 and ends on Friday, October 31, 2025.
      • Last Day to Receive Ballot by Mail Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
  • Notice of Voting Order Priority for Voters with Certain Disabilities

    Pursuant to Section 63.0015, Texas Election Code:

    An election officer shall give voting order priority to individuals with a mobility problem that substantially impairs the person's ability to move around. 

    • A person assisting an individual with a mobility problem may also, at the individual's request, be given voting order priority.

    • Disabilities and conditions that may qualify you for voting order priority include paralysis, lung disease, the use of portable oxygen, cardiac deficiency, severe limitation in the ability to walk due to arthritic, neurological, or orthopedic condition, wheelchair confinement, arthritis, foot disorder, the ability to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest, or use of a brace, cane, crutch, or other assistive device.

    • Voters who wish to be given voting order priority, and be accepted for voting before others in line to vote at that polling place, may indicate this to any election officer serving at the polling place.  The presiding judge shall bring the voter and the voter's assistant, if applicable, forward to the front of the line.

  • All Applications for Ballot by Mail EXPIRE on December 31st of every year. The first day to apply for Ballot by Mail using an Application for Ballot by Mail for ALL Elections in 2025 is on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
