DeWitt County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan

In coordination with De Witt County, the City of Cuero, the City of Nordheim, the City of Yorktown, and the Green De Witt Drainage District have developed the De Witt County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan. A draft copy of the Plan is available for the public to review and to provide comments. The purpose of developing the Plan is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards that impact the area, such as severe weather, floods, or wildfires, through effective mitigation.

De Witt County and the participating jurisdictions are gathering input on the draft plan until March 24th, 2026. The draft plan can be viewed on the County's website. Comments can be emailed to pmorris@h2opartnersusa.com
