  • DeWitt County Clerk's office is now offering online access to Official Public Records (OPR), Criminal, Civil and Probate records.   The OPR index and most OPR images are available.  Only the index is available for the Criminal, Civil and Probate records due to confidential information within the case files.

  • **MANDATORY CIVIL E-FILING JANUARY 1, 2016**

    Effective January 1, 2016 all CIVIL, PROBATE AND GUARDIANSHIP filings from attorneys must be filed electronically with the DeWitt County Clerk's office.  

    **MANDATORY CRIMINAL E-FILING JULY 1, 2019**

    Effective July 1, 2019 all subsequent criminal filings from attorneys must be filed electronically with the DeWitt County Clerk's office

DeWitt County Clerk's Office accepts payments for services by credit card.  Payments can be made through Certified Payments

**Please note a 2.85% convenience fee with a $2.00 minimum will be charged.   DeWitt County collects no part of the convenience fee.**

Official Public Records, Copies and Request for Vital Records:
Credit card payments cannot be made prior to the clerk's office receiving the documents, copy request or application for certified copies of birth, death or marriage records.  Please track your mail and call the clerk's office to verify that the envelope has been received prior to submitting payment.

Misdemeanor Criminal Case Payments:
Please call the county clerk's office to obtain the required information for processing your payment prior to making a payment.
